My experiment with the budget proved another point to me. On a macronutrient diet, I went to the grocery store only once, or at most twice a week. Eating whenever, whatever, I went to coffee shops, the grocery store and restaurants over ten times a week.
That’s a lot of extraneous travel time. In addition, each time I decided to make a different dish, that meant more time in the kitchen. With the macronutrient diet, I could have cooked all of my meals at once.
I actually don’t do this anyway because I like my food to taste fresh, but I could if I wanted to save some extra time. Another cool feature of the macronutrient diet is that I don’t have to worry or think about what or when I’m going to eat next. It’s all planned and I can take my meals with me wherever I go.
