Its primary functions include storing food
residues and absorbing water. Between what
we drink and what is secreted into the
stomach and intestine to help with food
absorption, about 5 gallons of fluid is
dumped into the large intestine each day.

Methods for Cleansing and helping the Large Intestine Recover

    intestine needs moisture.
  • Eat adequate amounts of fiber.
  • If you have been eating a lot of trans

    the ones found in cold water fish,
    nuts and seeds to help cool down the
    gastrointestinal tract.
